The plate has thin, gold embossed framing over it with flag in the upper corners and a boat and a wagon on bottom corners. Also inscribed "Constitution and Union" and in the centter bottom "July 4".

Cased, medium size, woman seated, wearing a striped, long-sleeved dress, v-neckline with narrow lace edging, brooch at base of lace front, sleeves have trim giving shawl-like effect, her hair is parted in the center and pulled down tight over her ears and back. She is resting her right arm on a table- appears to have ring on one finger. Wood case is hinged, covered with leather-like material with gilt floral pattern on front and embossed sail-ship on back. Small brass hook on right side. Interior has dark purple, floral embossed velvet liner on left and right side has narrow, red velvet strip surrounding brass textured octagonal mat, image and glass. Dates 19th century.

Cased print of a young woman, seated, wearing a light color dress, buttoned down the front, string-tie at neckline and long sleeves. Hair parted in middle and looped under ears. Her right arm is resting on a table and left folded at waist with draw-string purse over wrist. Case is hinged wood covered with leather-like material embossed on fromt and back with urn and leafy pattern, and has two small brass hooks on right edge. Interior has a red velvet lining with an ambossed pattern on the left. Right side has narrow red velvet covered framing enclosing narrow, embossed gilt metal frame, glass, stamped gilt metal matte with curved open image area and the print. Top surface of both sides has a gilt chain-like decoration. dates between 1845 to 1860.

Partly cased tintype of Slizabeth steadman, mother of donor. (Cover is missing from frame) wooden embossed with designs, gilt framing and glass over tintype.

Cased print of a woman in a dark dress, cape, gloves and bonnet. Bonnet and cape appear to have black satin ribbon trimming. Woman has her hair parted in the center and pink tinted cheeks. Case is hinged, wood, covered with a reddish-brown leather-like material embossed with a floral pattern on the front and a small metal hook on the right edge. Interior left has a red velvet lining, embossed with name and address of gallery. Right side has a narrow, red velvet framing enclosing an embossed gilt metal frame, glass, gilt metal matte with open oval center and the print. Dates between 1845 to 1860. marks: interior left side embossed "root's/gallery/140/chestnut st./philad.a"
