Women of the park embroidered and made a quilt during the summer of 1973Great Smoky Mountains National ParkBased on wild flower designs, the Park Women embroidered and made a quilt. During the summer of 1973, various members went to Cades Cove and quilted at the Becky Cable House. The quilt was ultimately raffled off with the proceeds going to the Sevier County Association for Retarded Children. Winner of the quilt was Mrs. Edgar Menning (Jean) who was living in Omaha, Nebr.
