The letter is datelined Sunday, requests that $12.50 be sent on February 1, refers to sending music for Willie and mentions the writers Alexandria train from St. Asops (sic). Harper family, genealogical record Harpers Ferry National Historical Park; National Park Service Genealogical record - Harper family, written in ink on both sides of a sheet of off-white laid paper ruled with blue horizontal lines. The obverse in headed-1 "Harper family" PA. The record begins with John Harper born 1632 and the latest date is 1889 referring to the sale of Wager Bridge to the B and O. There are underlinings and insertions in blue pencil. Upper half has suffered insect damage, 2/3 of upper half of the obverse is discolored, creases.
Letter, 1887 September 10, JL Daily to Miss Marmion [Verso] Harpers Ferry National Historical Park; National Park Service Written in pencil on plain white paper, datelined Harpers Ferry, it estimates cost of repair work on stairway and porch. The reverse contains the address in pencil- Miss Marmion/(undecipherable word), indicating the letter was hand delivered rather than mailed. The reverse has 3 arithmetic calculations in ink, a flowing signature ink parallel to the left edge may be -crane and breed mnfg. the document is intact, some- what yellowed and soiled on the reverse.

The reverse contains the address in pencil- Miss Marmion/(undecipherable word), indicating the letter was hand delivered rather than mailed. The reverse has 3 arithmetic calculations in ink, a flowing signature ink parallel to the left edge may be -crane and breed mnfg. the document is intact, some- what yellowed and soiled on the reverse.
