Portrait of unidentified man with mustache wearing a coat and hat Harpers Ferry National Historical Park Tintype of a man dressed in a wide lapel coat with velvet trimmed collar, either a checked buttoned-up vest or shirt, high, white collar, hat with wide, turnedup brim setting on a left angle, mustache, bushy hair showing on right side and his lefthand (with a ring on small finger) is holding onto his coat lapel. Gold colored tinframing measuring 1 3/8 x 1 5/8 inches embossed with scroll type design. The framing has anoval-shaped cut out in the ctr. which sets over the tintype, framing the individual.

Portrait of unidentified man and woman Harpers Ferry National Historical Park Glass plate of man and woman sitting. Woman has on dark, long sleeve dress with white collar. Hair parted in middle with some sort of ornament attached to her hair on each side below ears. Man dressed in dark suit, light shirt and bow tie. He has one arm around woman's shoulders. Plate is in a black wood embossed case, with small brass latch on right side. Front portion has broken loose from binding and it has red lining on inside. Glass plate has thin, gold embossed framing over it.
Affidavit, regarding horse sold Harpers Ferry National Historical Park; National Park Service Slip of white paper ruled in blue, torn from the corner of a larger sheet and inscribed in ink. Dated October 16 or 18 1862 and signed by a Provost Marshal. It states that a black horse sold to a citizen of Bolivar was the property of Patrick (last name undecipherable) who therefore had the right to sell it. Reverse bears an undecipherable entry in another handwriting dated October 17, 1862. Paper has stains, creases and tears. Paper was in a government envelope marked hfd-42. along with cat nos. 8255-56,8258-59.
