Portrait of unidentified woman wearing earrings, seated with hands touching Harpers Ferry National Historical Park Glass plate of woman sitting in dark stripe, long sleeve dress with lace around neckline. Also has broach at neckline and belt with buckle. Hair is parted in middle and pulled down over ears and then back. Wearing earrings and ring on her third finger of right hand. Glass plate is in a black wood embossed case with small brass latch on right side. Case has red lining on inside. Glass plate has thin, gold embossed framing on it. Measures 2 5/16 x 2 7/8 inches.
Cover, embossed United States flag Harpers Ferry National Historical Park Glass plate of a man sitting in a dark suit, white shirt and a black string bow tie. The man's features aren't very distinctive, the plate has scratches above the head and one side. In a black wood case with a 34 star flag on the front and embossed around the edge. Small brass latch on right side. The front hs broken loose from the binding. The plate has a thin, gold embossed framing over it. Measures 3 1/8" x 3 5/8".

Letter, 1893 July 22, Joseph Trapnell (Charles Town, W.VA.) to Thomas H. Savery [Verso] Harpers Ferry National Historical Park; National Park Service A sheet of plain blue paper, apparently originally from a pad, with letterhead printed in black- law office of Joseph Trapnell, Charles Town, WV. July 22, 1893. It contains a letter written in black in transmitting papers relating to the title to land on Virginius Island. The paper is creased by 3 horizontal folds. The center panel of the reverse has in ink- Mr. Savery. Some of the padding compound from the top edge has adhered to the reverse along the lower crease.

Hair cropped short about the ears. Gold colored tin framing measuring 1 3/8 x 1 5/8 embossed with a scroll type design.
