THey will portray Marines who were dispatched to Harper's Ferry, West Virginia, in 1859 to capture John Brown and his party. The capture will be re-enacted in detail at Harper's Ferry October 17, 1959, in commemoration of the 100th anniversary of the now-historic event. Portrait of unidentified girl wearing a fur garment around her shoulders, seated Harpers Ferry National Historical Park Glass plate of young girl sitting in dark color dress with floral design running vertically, fur around her shoulders, small, cap on head, and ring on her third finger. One arm resting on chair, arm or table. Glass plate is in black wood, embossed case with brass latch on right side. Front of case is broken loose from binding and it has red lining on inside. Plate has thin gold embossed framing over it. The case measures 2 5/16 x 2 7/8 inches.

He has a high forehead, sideburns and hair is parted on his rightside. Has his left hand sort of tucked under his left sideburn. Gold colored tin framingmeasuring 1 3/8 x 1 5/8 inches embossed with a scroll type design. The framing has anoval-shaped cut out in the center which sets over the tin type, framing theindividual.
