These holes and other washed-out areas along the road are presently causing an unusually rough ride for visitors on the Shark Valley Tram. Additionally funds are needed to adequately surface this road to reduce the excessively [high] maintenance cost, and to meet standards for an enjoyable interpretive tour along this road." PICTURE 4: The 14 mile loop road leading to the observation and fire tower is flooded during summer rainy season.
