Tintype of a young man dressed in a coat with wide lapels, velvet trimmed collar, light shirt and a wide bow tie. Hair is parted on his right side, short andsmooth except for a slight roach in front. Gold colored tin framing measuring 1 3/8 x 1 5/8 inches embossed with a scroll type design with a small star on each corner ofthe frame. The framing has an oval-shaped cut out in the center which sets over the tintype, framing the individual.
