From A.D. Eisenbrandt to Mr. Burton dated January 27 1859, transmitting bill for articles ordered. Refers to shipping by express vs mail, e strings (?) at $.75 and tailpieces. Written in ink on laid paper lightly lined in blue. A vertical streak to right of center is composed of closely spaced light and dark lines, probably from screen.

Letter, 1839 March 27, William Vickers to Mr. Burton

Brief note written in ink on very faintly ruled, off-white paper to Mr. Burton from William Vickers(?) dated March 27, 1839 or 1859. The writer requests delivery of his gold hunting case watch to William Dinsmore. Document is torn in half along a center vertical fold and a third fragment has separated from the torn edge. Numerous tears and soiling. Note:hfd-45 was a # assigned by park staff indicating Harpers Ferry document file. Pulled and cataloged into the museum collection with acc. #329.

Written in ink on a single sheet of originally white paper faintly marked by vertical and horizontal lines into 1/4" squares. Embossed cartouche in the upper left corner consists of the word quadrille within a reopentined oval.

Letter in ink on off white unruled paper from F.F. Pope to Mr. M. Walsh dated balto, March 11, 1867. Acknowledges receipt of order for $14.40 due and quotes prices on cod fish, herring and mackerel. Paper is intact, creased by 1 horizontal and 2 vertical folds. Soiled and crinkled. Note: hfd-45 was the document # used until pulled and catalogued into museum collection with other burton items under accession # 320.

Handwritten in black ink and on an 8" high x 10" wide sheet of white paper with blue lines on three sides. Following is the letter reading in part: "Balto July 16 1868/Dr. NM. V. Marmion/Dear Sir:/Yours of the/14th is at hand. We send you today by/mail samples of our fine and medium/marbles and oaks suitable for libraries/and dining rooms with prices marked." Marks - embossed trade mark top, left corner with the initial "P and P."
