Burton Ogle place in Sugarlands Valley just off Old Sugarlands Road, 1931 Great Smoky Mountains National Park Burton Ogle place in Sugarlands Valley just off Old Sugarlands Road. Lucinda Ogle, (wife of Burton's grandson, Ernest Ogle) reports that Burton Ogle's place served as a stopping place for people crossing the mountain. Many a traveler spent the night there.
