It states that a black horse sold to a citizen of Bolivar was the property of Patrick (last name undecipherable) who therefore had the right to sell it. Reverse bears an undecipherable entry in another handwriting dated October 17, 1862. Paper has stains, creases and tears. Paper was in a government envelope marked hfd-42. along with cat nos. 8255-56,8258-59.
