Letter, Henry Crane to son [Recto] Harpers Ferry National Historical Park; National Park Service Personal letter written in black ink on one side of a sheet of off white blue lined paper (foolscap) from Henry Crane(?Crans) apparently to his son. (Heading and opening lines obscured by surface dirt.) Phonetic spelling. The reverse is filled with penciledĀ calculations of algebraic equations, apparently exercises. Near the lower left corner John Brown is penciledĀ in careful script lettering twice. Paper is brittle, creased by 4 horizontal, 2 diagonal, and 1 vertical folds, stained by water.
