Off-white linen-textured paper addressed to Miss Annie Marmion/Harpers Ferry/ West Virginia/, postmarked on the obverse Washington, DC/November 29/1:30 am/ 1901 and on the reverse Harpers Ferry/November/29/7:00am/1901/W. VA. The postage stamp is missing. Envelope is embossed on the left edge of the opening under the flap-woodward and lothrop./ Washington. Paper is stained and soiled. Deterioration has broken the paper in one dark stain on the flap. This was probably in hfd-48.
