[Letter] Morris Island SC [South Carolina] Dec [December] 9-1863; Dear Brooks; All of the weights and dimensions which I report are approximately correct. The statements concerning the amount of labor required for different purposes are the result of inquiry among the men who were engaged in the manufacture of the material. I have been unable to find a single sap-roller in an [??????] condition. [????] you with such data concerning them, as I can collect. The weights were ascertained,
