Transcription[Letter, continued] 2; of Fort Sumter; IV. Execution of approaches and batteries against Fort Wagner which compelled its evacuation on Sept. [September] 7th. I had charge of the construction of a part of the batteries embraced in the first and third clauses, and entire direction under your orders of the seccond [second] and fourth operations.
