Caption reads: "Volunteer in the Parks Program - The Artist in the Park program is one of many made possible by the Volunteer in the Parks Program. Volunteers set up their easel along the Park Road and Interpretive Trails, painting scenery, answering questions, and overall, increasing the appreciation of the Park to the visitor. Twenty-seven volunteers are presently working on the park rolls." An additional caption reads: PICTURE 8: Volunteers in the Parks Program in Everglades National is quite successful. 'VIP' Leroy Ball paints a scene on the Anhinga Trail as visitors in back of him look on".
