Slip of off-white paper ruled with blue lines, comprising a portion torn from the corner of a larger sheet and boldly inscribed in black ink, dated Harpers Ferry, VA March 15, 1863 and signed by Martin Rouzer/Capt and Provost Marshal to pass John Ditmire(?) through the lines and return. Paper has been creased by one horizontal and 3 vertical folds. The document has separated almost completely along the horizontal fold. The left and lower edges have short tears with minor losses.
