End of bombartment of Fort Sumter.
TranscriptionCapt. [Captain] Jos. [Joseph] Walker was on duty from 7 P.M. 22nd to 3 A.M. 23? He extended the Sap from left of 4th Parallel so as to avoid S.E. angle of Fort Wagner. Built a redan and laid a platform for a Requa gun at the starting point of this Sap. Built 225 ft. [feet] of banquette tread in 4th Parallel. Built 80 ft. [feet] of parapet on left of and at right angles to the 4th Parallel to command the marsh; The 300 pdr. Parrott gun is again in working order, doing considerable effect upon Sumter.
