Descriptive InformationCased, medium size, woman seated, wearing a striped, long-sleeved dress, v-neckline with narrow lace edging, brooch at base of lace front, sleeves have trim giving shawl-like effect, her hair is parted in the center and pulled down tight over her ears and back. She is resting her right arm on a table- appears to have ring on one finger. Wood case is hinged, covered with leather-like material with gilt floral pattern on front and embossed sail-ship on back. Small brass hook on right side. Interior has dark purple, floral embossed velvet liner on left and right side has narrow, red velvet strip surrounding brass textured octagonal mat, image and glass. Dates 19th century.
