Descriptive InformationPhotograph - Bridal Altar (glass negative) glass negative-Bridal Altar -Mammoth Cave, Kentucky - this photograph was taken by an unknown photographer; location of printing is unknown; 1908; this photo was taken at the Bridal Altar in Gothic Avenue in Mammoth Caveglass negative shows four dripstone columns that form a natural bridal altar with four people in the foreground and an couple in the Bridal Altar( the peole have been added to the picture) there is an inscription in the lower left corner "Bridal Altar" and another inscription in the lower left corner,"copyright, 1908, by H. C. Ganter". Measurements: height 253 mm, width: 202 mm. thickness: 2 mm. Condition: good. The original blue 10-254 lists this as a gift from Ellis Jones on 14 Dec, 1981. Originally housed gsu c, sh 4 with maca 3608-3645, 3724-3743, 3746-3749, 3872-3888, 3903. Caves, geology.
