Descriptive InformationPhotograph - the acute angle (glass negative) glass negative -the acute angle - Mammoth Cave, Kentucky -- this is a black /white glass negative that was photographed by Ben Harris [Hains] in 1892; printed in New Albany, Indiana photo taken in broadway of Mammoth Cave. Glass negative shows a large cliff (the Kentucky cliffs) with two men standing above the trail - each man is holding an open flame lantern. In the lower left corner of the negative is an inscription "012 the acute angle". There is another inscription in the lower right corner" copyrighted 1892 by H. C. Ganter. Ben Harris cave photographer. New Albany, Ind. U.S.A.".measurements: height 254 mm, width: 204 mm. Thickness: 2 mm. Condition: good. The original blue 10-254 lists this as a gift from Ellis Jones on 14 Dec, 1981.Originally housed gsu c, sh 4 with maca 3608-3645, 3724-3743, 3746-3749, 3872-3888, 3903.
