TranscriptionEngineers of the Regular Army, immediate steps be taken to have this regiment mustered out of this service: provided that this regiment be not constituted, by act of Congress, an Engineers regiment within a reasonable time.; 3. Resolved. That a line officer be appointed to proceed to Washington to further the interests of the regiment according to the preceding resolution.; 4. Resolved. That a Committee consisting of Capts. [Captains] Atwood, Eaton and Neale be appointed and hereby are appointed to decide upon the proper person to be sent to Washington and also to select the officers to be sent to confer with the other Companies.
