This sparse growth represents the full producing capacity of that soil. Bush of Sarcobatus on right, grasses are Stipa comate, Oryzopsis and Koeleria and Agropyron. 9/3/43. McDougall and Grimm. 43-231; YELL 192943-454 Winter Range on Lower Blacktail. Despite their bleak appearance these slopes produce considerable amounts of forage. Aug. 28, 1943.
