He has long sideburns. Wood case is hinged, covered in an embossed, leather-like material, small brass hook on the right. Interior has an embossed red velvet liner on the left and the right has a narrow red velvet covered strip surrounding an embossed brass binder, image, oval brass mat and glass. Dates 19th century.
