Descriptive InformationFour Cottages burned to the ground early Friday, Nov. 28, 1975. The fire started sometime after mid-night. J.T. Higdon, the caretaker, had made his patrol about 11:30 P.M. The burned cottages were discovered by Ray ownby, Elkmont resident, shortly before 8 A.M. Cottages were owned by Mrs. H.T. Poore, Jesse jamerson, Garrett Burdette, and John Chiles,Elkmont Fire, IV-D-15907, Miscellaneous - Disasters (Fires; floods; accidents; plane crashes; landslides; snow storm damage)
