TranscriptionAugust 29th 1863; The bombardment recommenced this day, batteries completed on Block island. The navy drew up close to Sullivans Island but retired without firing a shot. The batteries on Sullivans Isle particularly Fort Moultrie, [????] our right a good deal of injury.; Note* No doubt the [arch?] Rebel with the revolver, appeared upon Fort Moultrie again, why cannot the navy solve the mystery in which this man is shrouded? This is the third time he threatened to fire upon our undefended fleet.
