This picture was made standing on the banister of the viaduct shown in Plate I (foregoing picture) and looking up the southeast, or left bank, of Abrams Creek. The cabins in the background, according to the local tradition, stand at or near the site of Abrams Cabin in which he and the others were massacred. The same tradition also points out a flat rock at the edge of the water, opposite to the cabins, upon which the Indians are said to be executed.
