Portrait of unknow child, lying Harpers Ferry National Historical Park Cased print of a small child lying on white linens, covered with checked blanket and appears to have flowers near its head. Perhaps a death-bed image. Case is hinged, wood, covered with a reddish-brown leather-like material floral and leaf embossed on front and back and has two brass hooks. Interior has a red narrow velvet covered frame enclosing, gilt, metal embossed frame, glass, an embossed gilt matte with curved image opening and tintype. Dates 19th century.

Letter, Henry Crane to son [Recto] Harpers Ferry National Historical Park; National Park Service Personal letter written in black ink on one side of a sheet of off white blue lined paper (foolscap) from Henry Crane(?Crans) apparently to his son. (Heading and opening lines obscured by surface dirt.) Phonetic spelling. The reverse is filled with penciled calculations of algebraic equations, apparently exercises. Near the lower left corner John Brown is penciled in careful script lettering twice. Paper is brittle, creased by 4 horizontal, 2 diagonal, and 1 vertical folds, stained by water.

Portrait of unknown woman, circa 1850 Harpers Ferry National Historical Park Cased, medium size, woman seated, wearing a striped, long-sleeved dress, v-neckline with narrow lace edging, brooch at base of lace front, sleeves have trim giving shawl-like effect, her hair is parted in the center and pulled down tight over her ears and back. She is resting her right arm on a table- appears to have ring on one finger. Wood case is hinged, covered with leather-like material with gilt floral pattern on front and embossed sail-ship on back. Small brass hook on right side. Interior has dark purple, floral embossed velvet liner on left and right side has narrow, red velvet strip surrounding brass textured octagonal mat, image and glass. Dates 19th century.
