Small photograph, painted over in oils of Mrs. Ann M. Roeder, wife of convectioner, Frederick A. Roeder. Background is painted in tones of gray, pink and blue. Half-portrait shows Mrs. Roeder standing with her left elbowresting on a cloth-covered stand or table, wearing a fancy purple and black dress with puffed long sleeves, white collar, matching bonnet trimmed with blue ruffles and bows. Reverse has a little soiling.

Sitting in chair, in plaid dress with white collar, wearing earrings and broach. Straight dark hair parted in middle, pulled back. No case, inornately embossed brass binder and stiff brass cut-out mat over image and clear glass. See cat. #'s 13772, 13773, 13777.
